10 Tips for Getting the Most Out of Your Refrigerator

As the mercury rises, so does the likelihood that your food will spoil before you have a chance to eat it. But there’s no need to stress – with a little bit of planning and these 10 tips, you can keep your cool all summer long.

  1. Set your fridge to the correct temperature. The USDA recommends setting your refrigerator to 40 degrees Fahrenheit or below – this will keep your food safe while also preventing energy waste.
  1. Check the seals on your fridge door. A damaged or loose seal can cause your fridge to work overtime, so make sure everything is tight and secure.
  1. Make use of the moisture-controlled drawer. This drawer is perfect for fruits and vegetables, as it helps keep them fresh for longer. So, look at Smart ThinQ.
  1. Be mindful of what you’re storing in the door. The door is the warmest part of the fridge, so items that don’t need to be kept cold (like condiments) are best stored here.
